Women have been giving birth for thousands of years and it is my job as their physician to educate and prepare them for this. I believe that women are very strong. It’s amazing how many changes the body endures to create and deliver a tiny human. I see birth as a very natural process. I am also fortunately and unfortunately experienced in dealing with medical problems and emergencies that can occur in both mothers and in newborns.
I see the family as a whole and take care of mother, baby and other family members in a holistic sense. I try to keep interventions during labor, delivery and afterwards to a minimum and prefer to see patients at home when possible.
